AeThex is a cross-platform identity and persistence protocol built for the next generation of interconnected experiences. At its core is the Passport — a universal identity layer that follows you across every game, application, and platform in the network.

Where traditional accounts are siloed — your Roblox progress stays on Roblox, your Steam inventory stays on Steam — AeThex breaks these walls. Inventory, achievements, scores, reputation, and governance rights are yours. Not the platform's. They travel with you.

The protocol is governed by the Foundation, operated by the Corporation, and developed by Labs. Each entity is distinct, bound by charter, and accountable to the others.

Each Passport is a cryptographically unique identifier bound to a human account. It stores no private keys on AeThex servers. Web3 wallet linkage is optional — you can use standard email or a hardware wallet. Linked experiences request specific data scopes; the Passport grants or denies access per your permissions.

Experiences built on the AeThex SDK declare what data they read and write. When you play Game A and unlock an item, that item is written to your Universal Locker. Game B can read it — if you grant permission and Game B has a compatible integration. This creates a true ownership layer that no single platform controls.

Every Passport holder can participate in Foundation governance. Proposals are submitted by any holder, discussed openly, and voted on with weight proportional to network participation history. No insider veto. No silent override. The protocol evolves by consensus.
